Stephanie Pakrul | Co-founder / Business Development
Stephanie fell in love with Drupal back in 2005 as a way to create powerful websites without coding. Her background in both design and web development were nicely bridged with this emerging field of "theming" -- pulling together the visual design with the underlying functionality. Her degree in I.T. Management has been a major resource when wearing the many hats of running a young small business.
After joining CivicActions in 2007 and theming some of the highest profile Drupal sites around, Stephanie co-founded TopNotchThemes (and picked up a Masters at UC Berkeley along the way) to bring that expertise to a larger group of site owners who seek the same thing that brought her to Drupal in the first place -- creating great sites without hiring a coder.
Sheena Donnelly | Lead Designer/Themer
Sheena brings to the TopNotchThemes team a portfolio of skills in art & graphic design, literary criticism (that counts, right?) and Drupal theming, as well as an obsessive attention to detail. Sheena's the one who tells us to add more negative space to a design or when to use Helvetica instead of Georgia.
Sheena began using Drupal in the Fall of 2008 and quickly learned the ropes of advanced theming - resulting in dozens of well-designed Drupal websites for the world to enjoy. Sheena's goals include encouraging good design in Drupal through designing great themes, outreach and education for non-Drupalist designers and working within the Drupal community to make advanced theming easier for non-programmers.
Jason Yergeau | Lead Theme Architect
Jason is our resident theme architect. His role is to support the structures that make our themes flexible, durable and ready to scale. He works on the Fusion framework and supporting modules, assists with custom theme work, and interfaces with the larger developer community to prepare our themes for the future of Drupal. He joins us after 3.5 years as the lead geek and product manager of a successful poker company, where he and his team worked with Drupal in spades.
Lynette Miles | Project Manager & Technical/Community Support
Lynette has been part of the Drupal community since 2006, becoming truly an active member when she started working in the Views queue so that Earl (merlinofchaos) would be able to spend more time on real issue and less on first level support. Since then she has become the documentation maintainer and the Views Bug Squad leader as well as co-authoring the book Drupal Building Blocks. She has two children, is learning ASL, and spends what little free time she can find knitting, reading or playing games.
Zlatko Najdenovski | Web Designer
Zlatko is a web designer/developer, living and working in Skopje - Macedonia, and is involved in the web world since 2003. His main passions are user experience, information architecture and visual design in general. He has been working with TopNotchThemes since 2007 and creates many of the designs for both our custom clients and premium themes. Also, he is academically pursuing philosophy and has a passion for playing the piano.
Julia Kulla-Mader | Project Manager
Julia has been helping nonprofits and small businesses build Drupal websites since 2006. She started using Drupal 2006 as a web developer at a web design company she worked at with Sheena. Shortly thereafter, Sheena and Julia co-founded the first Drupal User's Group in Durham, North Carolina. She joins us after 3.5 years as the IT Manager for a growing nonprofit, where she collaborated with internal and external teams to build Drupal websites. When she's not building websites, she can be found running and hanging out with her husband and daughter.
