FusionDrupalThemes.com case study
If you’re a customer at our new Drupal theme store, you may have noticed there are some pretty cool things going on behind the scenes! Our FusionDrupalThemes.com store is a much more comprehensive, user friendly, and streamlined experience than on TopNotchThemes.com.
With the help of Derek Wright (dww) of 3281d.com and others, we’ve got a pretty amazing back end (ahem) that allows us to run our own “mini drupal.org” in terms of creating code projects, releases from version control, integrated issue queues, and then selling it all with Ubercart!
The site makes extensive use of the Project suite of modules, Organic Groups, Views, Panels, several node access modules, lots of add-on Ubercart modules, and of course – theming with Fusion.
In order to share the awesomeness that powers the site, I have written up a case study, which I also presented last week at the San Francisco Drupal User’s Group.

This site runs on the Fusion theme for Drupal
Fusion is a powerful Drupal theme framework, with point-and-click layouts & built in styles for blocks, Views, and other modules. Download a Fusion theme for an instant, easy to configure design, or harness the power of Fusion in your own subtheme for a totally custom look.
And it’s free!

nice job
The new theme looks awesome, but I don't see the groups (organic groups) integrated.
OG is behind the scenes
Thanks!
You won't see any of the Organic Groups unless you're a customer -- OG is used to power the theme releases and access control.
OG
So, the themes come bundled with OG? I wanted to start a site with groups integrated in it.. and I ideally wanted a theme that came with OG components already built-in/installed..
Is that how this is?
OG and themes
Hi Desh!
Actually OG is a module, so its functionality is separate from the theme. Drupal themes don't generally "come with" a module or that kind of functionality. This post is about our own site here (which uses a Fusion theme of course) which is also running OG.
If you are looking for a theme specifically for an OG site, simply make sure it is a theme that uses Drupal standards, works well with blocks and Views, has the regions you need, etc. All our themes would be just fine with OG. Our team can help you if you have any issues with the theme in OG.
Hope that helps!
